Our Process
1 | Planning & Measurement
You can bring in your blueprints or just a rough sketch with your room dimensions showing the location of appliances, existing plumbing, doors and windows. If you cannot make it into the showroom, you can fax or e-mail your sketch or blueprints.
One of our professional designers will go over our very detailed list of questions to determine your needs, desires and budget considerations. Unlike the big “box stores”, you will be working with the same experienced designer from start to finish on your project. Our designer will provide you with expert suggestions to help you choose the wood species, door style, finish and interior accessories to give you the “most bang for your buck”. For our out-of-town clients (we have a lot of them), you can make your selections directly from the links to our Cabinet Manufacturer’s websites.
Once you have made your selections, your Designer will schedule your FREE IN-HOME MEASUREMENT appointment. Once again for our out-of-town rental or vacation unit owners, the measurement can be done by just picking up the key from the Property Manager. We will take accurate measurements and also note any construction features that will need to be considered when designing your new space.
2 | Custom Design Service
Your Designer will enter the information you have discussed regarding selections, the accurate measurements and any construction features into our state-of-the-art 3-D computer assisted design program to produce drawings of your proposed new space. You will be able to view the drawings in the showroom to make sure you are happy and satisfied. You can make any desired changes or let your Designer know that you are ready to go to the “pricing” stage of the process.
3 | Pricing & Order Placement
Our comprehensive pricing program will give you a total Turn-key bottom-line number. All materials, shipping, warehousing, delivery to the jobsite and complete professional installation is included. There will be no “surprise add-ons” at the end of the job. Our one-page easy to read Contract is signed by both parties so you have a clear understanding of Coastal Cabinets & Countertops obligation to you. We offer a convenient 65/30/5 payment plan; 65% of the total amount is due on order, 30% of the total amount is due on delivery to the jobsite (usually 4-5 weeks later), and 5% is not due until the job is finished to your satisfaction.
4 | Order Confirmation, Cabinet Arrival, and Storage
You will be notified 3-4 days after your order is placed when your Designer receives a confirmation from the Manufacturer of your cabinets. This confirmation will indicate the approximate shipping date for your order so you can make any plans necessary to receive your new cabinets.
We receive your cabinets at our 5,000 square foot warehouse. In the event you are not quite ready to receive your order, your new cabinets can remain in our safe and secure warehouse for 30 days free of charge until you are ready for delivery to the jobsite.
5 | Delivery & Cabinet Installation
The day before installation is scheduled your cabinets will be carefully delivered to your site. All products remain wrapped in the Manufacturer’s protective wrap until the installer begins to install the job. Your Designer will meet with the installer at the jobsite to go over the plans and drawings before he begins to install to make sure everything is done to your specifications.
Our installers are trained, certified and insured. They are not paid based on “speed” but based on “quality” installation. Following installation one or both Owners of Coastal Cabinets & Countertops, Inc. will perform an inspection of the job to make sure the order is complete and done to our quality standards.
6 | Countertop Installation
If we are supplying your countertops (and we hope we are), our Fabricator will template your base cabinets for the tops on the final day of the installation. Depending on the surface you have chosen, your countertops will be professionally installed in 14-21 business days after the template is done.
7 | Service & Warranty
Our focus on customer service continues long after the job is installed with a commitment to superior service after the sale. We handle any service issues in a timely and professional manner. Over 90% of our business is due to customer referrals, so following up on every concern, no matter how small, is a priority for us. Likewise, we have chosen to represent only Manufacturers that stand behind the quality of their products with a comprehensive warranty. All our Cabinet products carry a Limited Lifetime Warranty for residential use and a Limited Five-Year Warranty for rental property use.
